In the morning of March 3, 2018, the peaks of the Dolomites were still covered in a sea of clouds. But as soon as the participants arrived for the Girls Shred Session at Snowpark Alta Badia, the sun made its way through the clouds. The coach for this day was Arianna Cau, the 24-year old snowboard pro and contest judge and so the session started off with some warming sun rays, smiling faces and necessary stretching exercises. After that, Arianna tested the first slides on the boxes of the beginner line with the girls. Right after the first runs, Arianna was impressed by the riding level and motivation of the girls: “The girls are so great! They’re improving with every run and are not afraid to hit more advanced obstacles either!” That’s why they went on to tackling the medium line after a little while – first airtime included!
Only the pizza delivery straight to the chill area of the park could encourage the girls and their coach to a short break. All powered up with pizza and an espresso boost, the riders went for some follow runs and shredded the rail line. The girls didn’t shy away from the rails either and once again put a lot of passion into their runs. “The park here is great for coaching sessions like this one. It features many different obstacles and we can try something new during every run!”, Arianna reports proudly.
At the end of the day, the participants were happy about getting sweet goodies from Nikita, Golden Ride, WeAre and QParks and even happier about their progression and shredding together. “We were lucky to have Arianna as our coach today – I learned some new tricks, we really geared up and had a lot of fun here at the park!”

The praise didn’t stay unrequited as Arianna was also super satisfied with the girls and the session: “It truly was my pleasure to coach these girls! Events like this one really contribute to promoting the female freestyle scene and getting even more girls excited about snowboarding!” The girls definitely confirmed Arianna’s passionate plea with their efforts!
