01.07.2010Shooting fever has broken out on the Dachstein glacier
After an extended summer pause, it was time for the first QParks film- and photo-shooting of the summer season! Therefore, the Horsefeathers crew with Darek Bergmann, Mata Molnárová and Martin Blasko as well as the Blue Tomato riders Clemens Schattschneider, Matthias Weissenbacher and the Hungarian rookie Viktor Szigeti gathered in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein. Despite changing weather, some terrific shots were made owing to the highly motivated riders and the great snowpark set-up.
The QParks shooting team dawgs were not the only ones who headed up the mountain on June 24th 2010, a day of unsettled weather: A host of local guys like Max Weickl, Dani Limmer and some snowboard camps from Eastern Europe spent a relaxed shred day at the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein and immediately took part at the cozy shooting.
The crew started at the kickers, but soon had to realize that the temperatures have been too low the last days and so the speed wasn’t enough for the big kickers. So they soon changed from the kickers to the boxes in the central park on the left side and the riders showed everything they had. Clemens rode them hard and also the only female rider, Mata commented about the three new 80 boxes: „The new box line is fine and I like it, because the boxes are easy and good for learning new tricks. And it’s always fun to ride a beginner park with friends.” They did not miss out the new 4-in-a-line rails and remained enthusiastic about the innovation as Clemens told us: “The rail line at the Dachstein is the best ever! I love it because the rails are just awesome!”
At last, the shooting team around filmer Clemens Prankl and photographer Simon van Hal turned over to the beginner park and checked out all the obstacles.
At the end of the day we all relaxed in the chill area together with the shape crew and discussed the tricks and setup before they all had to say good-bye again to the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein for the time being. In the end, Mata emphasized why it’s always worth coming back to the glacier: „I would like to invite all the riders to the Horsefeathers Superpark on Dachstein, because this park is so great with this special atmosphere and you can improve your skills extremely fast here!”
