15.07.2010Danish shooting crews boarding the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein
Two Danish filmcrews came to the Dachstein region collecting some nice footage for their new snowboard movie. The team around filmer Christoffer Hove arrived on the 20th of July 2010 having the best Danish newschooler Simon Houlind on board, as well as the rider Niels Pedersen and the photographer Maja Löfenmark. Two days later, the RADFilm Crew with filmer Nikolaj Jungersen and snowboarder Niels Ettrup Petersen joined them and together they spent a super summer shred holiday at the Dachstein glacier.
Knowing from their first visit in 2008 that the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein offers the optimal scenery for a shooting session, the Danish film crew RADfilms turned back to Austria to capture some pictures for their next snowboard movie. Again, the diverse park setup astonished them as well as the beautiful nature, the good vibes in the snowpark and they particularly liked the QParks offer. „The rails and boxes and the short lift for the park, that’s so cool because you can get many laps in one day.“ as Nikolaj told us.
After a good day of shredding and shooting work they relaxed at the Ramsau “beach” and enjoyed the summer feeling of the Dachstein region with barbecue on their balcony. In these days of slushy shred-joy, the two cooperating teams experienced just one disappointment -Denmark lost to Japan in the World Cup: „That was really sad, because that meant we were kicked out of the World Cup.“
Fortunately this remained the only disaster and their definite highlight was the last day when finally the sun came out and the snow was fast enough to hit the big kicker. „So our last day was perfect, we jumped the kickers, we got a lot of cool footage to our movie and had a lot of fun! And for sure we will come back to the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein!“
