The weather gods showed mercy, showering the Snowpark Scuol with finest sunshine last week. The park was crested
with a perfectly shaped setup, which was promptly put to good use for a massive session. Snowboarder Diego Bosshard, as well as freeski pro Pat Berhard ran wild on the rails and boxes and thus did not only spend a great day on the mountain, but also enjoyed freestyle action galore. A Jib Line, comprising a 12m A-Frame Box, a 7m Industry Pipe, a 7m Kinked Rail, a 4m Up Down Box and a massive Wallride had the pros literally jump with joy. Filmographer Chris Hove caught this first session on tape and there’s one thing the moving pictures demonstrate above all: 2011/12 will be another great season in the Snowpark Scuol! Check it out for yourself in our cool Freeski and Snowboard video edits!
If the setup was already creative at the shooting, parkdesigner Curdin Erni and his crew managed to top that these last few days: as of today the setup is complete and will surely make the hearts of all freestyle addicts beat faster. The park really is one of a kind, providing an extended Jib Line, comprising an 11m A-Frame Box, an 8m Industry Rail, a 9m Kinked Rail, an Up Down Box and a Wallride – 6m each – a 6m Elephant Box and a 6m Kinked Box. A varied Kicker Line with two Medium and two Beginner Kickers with lengths of 8, 10, 3 and 4m guarantees pure freestyle pleasure.
Aspiring shredders can look forward to the Advanced Line, which comes with a 12 and two 13m Kickers, two 3m Straight Boxes, a 12m Straight Box, an 8m Down Rail, a 6m Elbow Rail, a 3m Curved Box and a Shrek. Shredding beginners will additionally find three Waves next to the Wallride; a Jib Can next to the shapecrew’s container invites everyone to rip it just as the fancy takes them.
