27.01.2012Dolomiti Super Freestyle: Arabba Superpark - The Newcomer in words and images!
On January 1st, 2012, the Arabba Superpark opened its doors for the first time and this event had to be celebrated! The park was shredded for the first time in a smooth atmosphere and subsequently there was a big party with a nice DJ Set goin on at Rifugio Plan Boè. Naturally, we didn’t let the opportunity slip and attended the opening with a camera crew.
The Arabba Superpark is has been created by the Superpark Project Crew, who also supervises the Alleghe Superpark and the Cortina Superpark. We snatched up one of the members of the crew, Marco Resentera, to get some information about the Superpark Project and the Arraba Superpark.
Hi Marco, first of all, tell us something about the Superpark project.
Our crew has been taking care of the Alleghe Superpark for 12 years now. This season, we additionally got the Cortina Superpark and the Arabba. With our project we want to create a network for events, meetings and photo shootings in the parks and ensure that the riders have fun!
It seems to be a lot of work for you this year! What goals do you pursue with the Superpark Arabba?
I want to advertise the park beyond our area and build up an easy squad of local riders and ensure that they have lots of fun. It is important for me to provide an area for every riding-level. In addition, we want to organize really sick photo shootings and contests.
So in any case it pays off to stay tuned about the Arabba Superpark! To prepare you for your visit, here’s the current setup:
Line 1: 1m Jump, 2m Jump, Up-Down Box 6m, Down Pipe Pop Out 6m, Polejam
Line 2: Flat-Stair-Flat Box 6m, Flat Box 3m, Flat Pipe 6m, Down Pipe Pop Out 6m, Polejam
Line 3: Down Rail 6m, 10m Jump, 15m Jump
