Your QParks don’t come into life over night as if by magic. No, your playgrounds are built and enjoy tender loving care from the men and women of the Shape Academy over days and especially over nights. And the Shape Academy is quite a crew: over 250 technicians, park designers, head shapers, multimedia shapers, shapers and snowcat operators form the biggest shape crew worldwide. They work the entire season to build over 45 wicked QParks so you can have the best time ever.

Back in the days, they were supported by wrought-iron shaping tools. In order to master tough missions, the shapers now rely on animalistic support. This help always comes from snowcats and at best, they’re disguised as a bison! More precisely, our guys and girls have a helping hand called BISON X from PRINOTH. ‘Cause if you want to build the best parks, you need the best machines. It’s as simple as that. For about one year now, the Shape Academy is counting on the South Tyrolean snowcats and the park experts couldn’t be more satisfied.

Roli Winkler, the Shape Academy‘s Chief Snowcat Operator is particularly impressed by the BISON X’s milling power. “The machine from PRINOTH works especially well when we’re cutting kickers, jumps so to speak. I have noticed that there’s almost no reworking by hand necessary, because the quality is superb. Moreover, it is really maneuverable“. His colleague Andi Röck – a true legend among park builders - agrees with Roli: “Because the BISON X is so small, it’s a huge support in the park. When we shape next to rails or side transitions, the size of the BISON X is definitely crucial, because you just don’t have much space.” It’s not solely the physical dimensions of this little machine which makes it so incredibly valuable during the construction of our QParks though: “It is very reliable, the all-round visibility is awesome, and I find that the value of joystick control in the park is immense.”
Last season, the Shape Academy’s machine drivers demonstrated how precise they maneuver such a BISON X during the X-Games of snowgrooming. Year after year, the best drivers show off their skills at the PRINOTH-Cup. There, it’s all about precision and skills. You already find it hard to balance a tennis ball on a spoon? How ‘bout trying it using a 400-HP-BISON X? Check it out in the video for proof and to find out who won the competition. Spoiler alert: The PRINOTH cup winner is Roland Hürlimann, an official Shape Academic. “It was definitely good fun to compete in different challenges. They were definitely gathering some good drivers at the cup here and for me personally, it was interesting to see what level I am on and I was of course really happy that I won in the end. It’s awesome that PRINOTH is offering and organizing such an event.“

The session is over, you’re done with the park. The take-offs are rugged, the landings ruined, and the jibs also lost some attractivity. You are stoked, you are grinning from ear to ear and you’re already looking forward to your next shred in your favorite QPark. This is the time when our heroes and heroines from the Shape Academy grab their shape tools and put themselves behind the joystick of the BISON X with the mission to enable you to another awesome ride on a perfect setup the next day.
