Buckle up Freestylers, the PenkenBattle is back.
It’s time to send!
17.01.2023

Watch out, shredheads: The PenkenBattle is postponed to Sunday, February 12th, 2023 – because of the current weather forecast. See you on Sunday!

It’s served. The crème de la crème of Battles, the PenkenBattle held at the PenkenPark in Mayrhofen is back.

The PenkenBattle is going down as a FIS CUP on the 12th of February 2023. This is an event you really don’t want to miss out on, especially as an up-and-coming Freeskier/Snowboarder wanting to gain experience in the competitive scene and collect points for the FIS ranking. Everyone’s welcome to compete and have a ball of a time, grommies and adults, freeskiers and snowboarders, lads and ladies.

Changes in 2023: Cooperation with FIS and the ÖSV

Since this year, we’ve partnered up with the ÖSV, the official federation for Austria’s Skiing and Snowboarding. So you can look forward to a slopestyle setup with lots of creative features. There will be plenty of airtime and a varied rail setup to prove your skills. In addition to high-quality prizes and prize money for the winners, the competition will be held as a FIS CUP. This gives participants the chance not only to collect prizes and prize money, but also to earn valuable FIS points for future and even higher-placed competitions in FIS formats such as the European or World Cup. All you have to do is apply for your personal FIS code at your national association and you'll be ready for the ranking and the professional world of freestyle!

The contest stays OPEN FOR ALL!

There are also more points up for grabs this year - for snowboarders there are points for the World Snowboard Tour up for grabs and for the freeskiers among you there are points to collect for the TSV Cup. So it's quite clear that the PenkenBattle not only promises a good time, but can also be a stepping stone for one or two snowboarders/freeskiers. The PenkenBattle remains a contest for everyone and is therefore open for all and without age restriction.

Goodies, good times and smiles for days

Classics like Red Bull and tea will be provided, and there will also be tasty snacks available for free. In addition, all Best Trick winners will be awarded with goodies. On top of that, there are prizes worth 2,500 euros to be won in the various categories. BURTON, ATOMIC, Pinetime and TSGwill be at the start this year as partners of the contest. And the best at the end - you can win an ambassadorship from BURTON! Hell yeah!

Each contest will end with a prize-giving ceremony, where high-quality and attractive prizes will be handed out by the sponsors. Photographers and filmers will be on site to provide great footage.

“It was back in the 90s. We were fanatic snowboarders, constantly roaming the surrounding hills, building kickers wherever possible. Bad Religion and NOFX were blasting from our battery-powered cassette player. With our camcorder, shovels and boozy tea we had everything we needed and it was a damn awesome time.”

Around 70 contestants, perfect weather and breathtaking tricks in a beautiful setup - all this was combined at this year's Plan P. Here you can find the most important information and results of Plan P 2025!
