19.01.2025

Around 70 contestants, perfect weather and breathtaking tricks in a beautiful setup - all this was combined at this year's Plan P. Here you can find the most important information and results of Plan P 2025!

On the 19th of January 2025 the Superpark Planai in Schladming was the perfect setting for the start of the QParks Slopestyle events - a real freestyle party. Early in the morning there were signs of a bluebird day, so the contest started punctually at 09:00 in bright sunshine. The Superpark was packed as 47 freeskiers and 22 snowboarders qualified for this year's Plan P and were cheered on by the crowd. After the first practice runs were completed and the contest line scrutinised, the competitors were warmly welcomed to the riders' meeting and informed about the course of the contest. In two heats, the shredheads were able to show off their skills on the Planai. This year the number of participants was especially high: almost 70 riders from different countries were present - a promising sign for the whole freestyle community and the Planai Superpark.

Sparkling Contest Line

In the days leading up to the event, the shape crew worked hard to get the contest line for Plan P in perfect condition. Their efforts paid off: The weather was glorious and the obstacles presented themselves in all their glory. This year's contest line consisted of four fat kickers and two jibs - a tube and a straight/down rail - giving riders plenty of opportunities to show off their best tricks. Between runs, the shape crew worked hard to keep the obstacles in pristine condition. This allowed the judges to judge the runs in optimum conditions and select the best tricks.

No Competition without sufficient refreshment

Between runs, the Chill Area invited visitors to take a relaxing break, accompanied by great beats, tasty sandwiches, snacks and drinks powered by QParks. Here, all Plan P visitors could recharge their batteries and relax in the sun. The on-site speaker kept everyone in a good mood, keeping the crowd up to date and giving the riders an extra dose of motivation. After the lunch break the athletes were highly motivated for their second run and made the Superpark shake.

Great Prizes and Proud Winners

What was already apparent in the training runs was confirmed during the competition: The level of competition was incredibly high again this year. They corked, flipped and spun for all they were worth. The judges were faced with the challenge of selecting the best tricks from a multitude of impressive runs.

Freeski

Among the freeskiers, Andre Walkner secured a double victory with 92.33 points in both the Overall and FIS Junior categories. Felix Schöberl took second place in the overall category with 90 points, closely followed by Leo Brucic in third place with 88.67 points. Hannes Weiser won the Freeski Men Open category, while Felix Ceschin secured first place in the Groms category with a strong performance.

There were also strong performances in the Freeski Ladies category: Magdalena Eglseder won the overall category with 85.76 points, followed by Anna Rauchmann in second place with 83.33 points. Celine Roiderer finished third with 69 points.

Snowboard

The snowboarders were more colourful this year. Lennox König won the overall snowboard category with 86 points and also secured the FIS junior category title. Niko Lemark followed in second place with 83 points, while Mathias Minarovic finished third with 79.67 points. Simon Karrer triumphed in the Snowboard Men Open category and Jaka Pančur won the Groms category with an impressive performance.

“It was back in the 90s. We were fanatic snowboarders, constantly roaming the surrounding hills, building kickers wherever possible. Bad Religion and NOFX were blasting from our battery-powered cassette player. With our camcorder, shovels and boozy tea we had everything we needed and it was a damn awesome time.”
