Sneak peek of the new season at Funmountain Obergurgl
22.11.2019

The outlook for the season 2019/20 in Obergurgl is sparkling! After all, the only all-female shape crew of the Alps, the Diamond Girls Crew, will once again provide you with rad facilities and perfectly shaped elements.

All freestylers can look forward to smooth jibs and kickers at Snowpark Obergurgl! With 22 elements, it’s the perfect playground for all intermediate and advanced riders. And it gets even better: the lower part of the park will be divided into two separate lines and therefore, Snowpark Obergurgl will grow! But also everyone who simply wants to take his/her first steps in the park will quickly find out that Obergurgl is the place to b as the Familypark promises park feeling for rookies too. Besides that, heaps of fun and action as well as an extra portion of flow-feeling are waiting in the Audi quattro funslope and the Funcross Obergurgl. And the best of it – there are no big crowds or waiting lines at the lift, because Obergurgl guarantees first-class skiing and snowboarding at the Diamond of the Alps!

Here we would like to show you a Vimeo video.

What else should mark the start of the season in a park “shaped by girls only” if not the Girls Shred Session. On December 21th, 2019, all shred queens and those who want to become one should gather at the snowpark in order to get some tips and tricks from professional coaches. Music, free lunch and goodies for all participants will complete this day!

Rookies can look forward to the SNOWHOW Kids’ Day on February 14th, 2020 when all youngsters get the chance to work on their first tricks and can catch a scent of freestyle. Attendance is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. So better hurry up, before it’s too late!

To make sure that everyone can push his/her freestyle skills to the next level, the Diamond of the Alps once again offers the Weekly Freestyle School Obergurgl. Starting on December 20th, 2019, every Friday all skiers and snowboarders have the chance to receive an individual freestyle coaching for free – all season long!

All shredheads can look forward to a shining Game of Diamonds! On April 11th, 2020, the final stop of the QParks Tour will guarantee some top-class contest action when riders from all over Europe will not only fight for the win of the day but also for the crown of the QParks Tour.

After last season’s spectacular premiere of the Funcross Race, all speed-enthusiasts can not once, but twice fight for the fastest time at the Funcross Obergurgl this winter. This is why February 27th, 2020 and March 19th, 2020 should be marked red in everyone’s calendar!

Freestyle snowboarding and skiing require much more than just physical skills. “It was back in the 90s. We were fanatic snowboarders, constantly roaming the surrounding hills, building kickers wherever possible. Bad Religion and NOFX were blasting from our battery-powered cassette player. With our camcorder, shovels and boozy tea we had everything we needed and it was a damn awesome time.”

Around 70 contestants, perfect weather and breathtaking tricks in a beautiful setup - all this was combined at this year's Plan P. Here you can find the most important information and results of Plan P 2025!
