'Girls Who Ride' Session by Nikita Clothing in Obergurgl - 05.01.2019
26.01.2019

Good news for a good start into the new year: We teamed up with Nikita for the 'Girls Who Ride' session in Obergurgl. Shredding with the Nikita Ambassador team, lunch for free and goodies from the partners are awaiting you on January 26, 2019.

Whether skier or snowboarder, bloody beginner or soon-to-be pro. January 26, 2019 is all about sharing your passion for winter sports with other girls at Nikita’s ‘Girls Who Ride’ session.

The day starts with a first get-together and a warm-up. Together with girls from the Nikita Ambassador Team you’ll work in groups on your tricks or learn how to stomp them. While you work on your park skills, a media crew is capturing everything that’s going on. By lunchtime, you’ve earned the free lunch, before the second coaching session of the day continues. After the coaching you deserve some nice goodies from Nikita, Planet Sports, Golden Ride and QParks.

Freestyle snowboarding and skiing require much more than just physical skills. A strong mindset helps you overcome obstacles, make continuous progress, and handle challenges effectively. Here’s how you can specifically improve your "mental game."

Eliska isn’t your typical shaper in the snowpark. Along with shaping obstacles in the Sölden Snowpark, she’s also responsible for capturing and sharing its story on social media. From shaping the park’s features to snapping the perfect shot for Instagram and Facebook, Eliska combines her passion for snow and storytelling. We caught up with her to get a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s really like to be a Multimedia Shaper in a snowpark.

“It was back in the 90s. We were fanatic snowboarders, constantly roaming the surrounding hills, building kickers wherever possible. Bad Religion and NOFX were blasting from our battery-powered cassette player. With our camcorder, shovels and boozy tea we had everything we needed and it was a damn awesome time.”
