Funslope Sölden – The Exciting Highlight at Ötztal

For all those of you who are looking for a healthy dose of action away from the “common” slopes this winter’s season, the Funslope Sölden is certainly the place to be. Steep curves, waves, jumps, tunnels, a Fun Twister and many more exciting features are waiting for you at the 680-meter-long course. All this is rounded off by the divine panoramic view from the Giggijoch – here you will enjoy the sight of several 3000-meter peaks!

The comprehensive offer and the spacious slopes make Sölden one of the most famous winter ski resorts known as the hotspot of the Alps. And this comes hardly as a surprise, considering the snow reliability and slope quality, which regularly attract world cup athletes, freestylers and families alike. With the brand-new Funslope Sölden there is now one more reason to take the chairlift up to the peak of the mountain. The 8-seater chairlift Giggijoch takes you directly up to the entrance of the Funslope. In the facility, every run is a fun run thanks to a mix of well-known elements from snowparks, boarder cross and slopes. The 680-meter-long course is the perfect terrain for everyone who is looking for a change from the usual slopes, but still does not feel up to the challenges of a snowpark or cross yet.

Already from the first exploratory run through the Funslope you will experience just how much fun this is: The course starts out with a little jump, then you go through a tub giving a couple of high fives, followed by a combo of 4 steep curves which lead directly into the Fun Twister. After that, there are two more steep curves and a tub until the course leads you through a tunnel and over a bridge. Watch out - you are approaching a gorge! After mastering this feature, another tunnel leads to the two final jumps… and now it’s time to collect some speed for the last couple of meters!

Those who need a break after all the action can stop at the cozy lodge located directly at the Giggijoch and enjoy the view of the Funslope Sölden. This is also the perfect spot to plan your next adventurous ride through the course, because those past runs will definitely have you craving for another dose of exciting winter fun!
